It appeared that way on Wednesday night when numerous members of the Trump administration attended the opening night of "Les Misrables" at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC.
Melania and Donald Trump walked the red carpet holding hands, Usha and JD Vance did the same, and Cheryl Hines walked alongside her husband, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Though the three women mentioned above wore different designers and colors, their outfits were, at the core, the same. Simple midi dresses paired with heels and metallic accents were the look of the night.

Melania Trump wore the most high-fashion look of the three women.
She donned a $3,900 black Bottega Veneta dress with gold embellishments at the shoulder and waist, vintage Christian Louboutin heels in silver and gold, and an assortment of gold rings.
Still, the outfit was understated, keeping in line with the first lady's neutral, under-the-radar style of this term.
President Donald Trump, on the other hand, opted for a classic black tuxedo, a satin cummerbund, and a matching bow tie.

Cherly Hines also arrived in a black midi dress, which appears to be a $298 style from Mac Duggal. The strapless gown had a structured bodice, a straight skirt, and thick feathered fringe at its hem.
For accessories, she chose a crystal-embellished clutch, black heels with rhinestone detailing, and diamond earrings.
Kennedy, the health secretary, coordinated his outfit. He wore a navy-blue tuxedo that included pleated trousers, a white button-up shirt, a bow tie, and a blazer with shining black lapels.

And then there was the vice president and the second lady.
Usha Vance walked the red carpet in a $635 navy-blue midi gown designed by Shoshanna, dark pumps, and delicate earrings. The strapless design had an asymmetrical neckline and two crystal stripes.
The dress complemented her husband's navy-blue suit, which was darker than the one worn by RFK Jr., but nearly identical in design.

It's unclear whether the three couples planned to wear coordinated looks or just have similar styles.
